Endangered Species.


(1) Species Common and Scientific Name: Marbled Murrelet. (Brachyramphus marmoratus marmoratus)

(2) Habitat Description (where does it live)?: Located in Oregon, California, and Washington. It is a small seabird and it from the North Pacific.
It nests in old-growth forests or in elevation where trees don't grow.


(3) What caused it to become endangered?:
The biggest threat to the Murrelet was long considered to be loss of old growth forest to logging and climate-driven changes in ocean conditions. Habitat entanglement in fishing gear and oil spills are also losses of nesting.
